The Bernese Mountain Dogs you will meet in these pages own Sam and Mick Angell and Linda Esterhuysen. That would be us. We live in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. We do not breed any dogs, nor do we intend to. We only have Boyz. Our aim is to have the best time ever with our Boyz. We want to give them a good home and let them grow and develop to the best dogs they can be. At the same time, we need to guide them and help them to get experiences which they might not normally get if they had we not all lived together. When the dogs go to shows, we all go together. When we go on holiday, we all go together. In fact, we do everything together. The Berners have taught us to have fun. Dog training had always been a very sombre and serious affair. This was not a game. Or, at least, not until we got Kodi and Maxxie! They were not having any of this marching up and down with long faces. They wanted to play. It did not take them very long to teach us that praise, encouragement, reward and laughter were the best training methods ever. We have tried to bring the reality of the Bernese to you. These are such special dogs, to try to describe them is impossible. We invite you to see for yourselves.
