Our show season in Africa starts next month in full force. Living in Port Elizabeth means we have to travel to other centres to show Behr and his brothers. We have quite a fun year planned, starting with an Open Show in PE (Port Elizabeth) next weekend. This is only a very small show, but is good preparation for the Championship Show that we are signed up for a championship show in Cape Town, the first weekend of March. We are all very excited about this, because it will be Behr's first Championship show and he will still be able to enter as a "puppy". Of course, we think will be the most beautiful puppy on show, so the judge's decision is merely semantics! Kodi will also show in the breed as a Champion. Then the two big Boyz will enter the carting. They are both very good at that and even though they have the biggest dog and cart configuration, they command a lot of respect from the other competitors. The don't really care about stuff like that, though.They simply like the challenge of getting the cart and load around the circuit. In April, PE clubs get together and we hold three Championship breed shows locally. These are the only Championship Breed shows in PE for the year, but they are usually very well attended and we will certainly enter the Boyz. We will keep you informed as the year goes on about other shows such as Oudtshoorn and East london. And of course, The World Of Dogs and Cats expo in Durban later in the year. Imagine if we could get there. Marion, Hold your breath and cross your thumbs!!!

Behr is coming along very nicely as far as his working career is concerned. He has a grasp of all the basic exercises and we are looking forward to attending a course with Joanne Fleming-Plumb in two weeks' time. It is a three day course and Behr is going to love it! Kodi and Maxxie will go along as spectators. Ruthie will also be there for support, but only Behr is going to work. He will feel so important! Obviously we will have plenty of photos to record the event!

We wish to see if Behr has an aptitude for Schutzhund. He certainly understands the concept of tracking and is going to be very good at the control exercises. But we will only find out about the defence much later.He loves to play tug of war and has a solid, confident bite when playing with soft toys. But.......... we will wait and see about that one! In the meantime, enjoy him and his brothers doing what they do best................. Just hanging out together!
