The first and most important thing about any carting harness is that it must be safe and comfortable for your dog to wear. There are many designs, but the design below is our favourite,because it hithces the cart securely to the dog and does not allow any "flapping of the shafts" - ie. if the dog moves the cart moves and if the dog stops the cart stops immediately. Some handers use "strap" harnesses - these "strap" harnesses can not protect the dogs shoulders from the shafts in case of an accident. The "strap" harness allows lateral and horisontal movement of the shafts - this does not aid manouvering. The harness below is made of 5mm pigskin and polished to give a beautifull red finish. The inside of the harness is padded with engineers felt or in the case below - foam and suede. The backing is sewn by hand to the leather. The brass plates are from Switzerland and gives the harness a typical swiss look.
